E.Laval on Exhibit
Please come out to the Whitehorn Memorial Library in Caledon Victoria City tomorrow, 12/7, from 1-3 pm SLT for the opening of my exhibit "The Past Reimagined: Victorian Fashion and the Designs of Eladrienne Laval." You get to see the process from beginning to end piece, including source images and sketches. With the help of JJ Drinkwater and Siri Woodget, I also curated exhibits on couturier Charles Frederick Worth and one of his patron's, Isabella Stewart Gardner. There will also be a contest and a lucky winner could walk away with this reproduction of Mrs. Gardner's dress, created for the exhibit and using the texture of the RL fabric. See you there!

New Release: "Ada" Black Gothic Steampunk Ensemble
Given my inclination towards black and gothic clothing, it was only fitting that I'd make the "Ada" in black. You may find it online at SLEx, at my main Caledon Regency shop, or the Dark Victorian Emporium in Caledon Tanglewood...

New Releases: "Ada" Steampunk/Victorian Ensemble
I thought I'd do something new for Fall. I've always enjoyed wearing uneven hemmed dresses with little breeches underneath. Good for adventure, yet still feminine at the same time. In that spirit, I am releasing "Ada", a steampunk-y Victorian outfit named after the first "computer" programmer herself! It comes with shirt with flexi lace cuffs, cropped vest, collared jacket with sculpted cuffs, sculpted hat, pants, belt, uneven hemmed skirt, brooch, gloves and knee-high stockings. You can find these online at SLEx or at my store in Caledon Regency...

New Releases: Elven Armor
I have always created pieces that I wear myself or would love to see on others. I recently created a custom armor as a gift for my friend Lunar, who is a moon elf. Given my love of fantasy, fighting and swords, it was only natural that I'd create a dark version for my favorite drow/dark elves, which comes in both a female and male version...I was inspired by Asian-influenced armor mostly, and looked at RL Chinese, Japanese and Russian armor references. I was also inspired by a medieval platemail breastplate. You may find these in SLEx and inworld at my shop at Regency.
Here's a shot of Lunar in his bluish-white moon elf armor, which is not for sale...

New Release: Godey Nightlit
I realized that I had not made any bustle dresses in white, so here one is! The beautiful Godey Nightlit is done in an airy white with light blue lace trim. Like the others, it is based upon an 1870s design and is perfect for a special day or a blushing bride. A versatile dress, if the collar and bustle is removed, it also works well for a medieval/fantasy look...

Gothically Godey
Given my love of gothic Victorian dresses, I was inspired to make some more inspired by a 1870 fashion plate from Godey's Lady Book. The first, "Godey Nightfall" was originally created as my showstopper piece for the recent Dark Victoria fashion show for RFL...A friend asked about it in a deep purple/aubergine shade and I agreed, creating "Godey Nightshade". Both are available in my inworld and aethernet shops...

A 1920s doll needs cute dresses just to go around town in, so I created the 1925 McCalls series, inspired by a period illustration. It comes with the top, skirt, glitchpants and two flexi sidepieces. The "Smoky" is sheer silver over black...
And the "Stormy" is a lovely pale blue with swirling flowers that'll make you feel like the swell gal that you are!

Calais
I love, love, love the works of French painter James Tissot and created "Calais", inspired by the painting below. It comes with a bodice, gloves, glitchpants, polonaise bustle with plaid skirt, matching underskirt, and feather stole. You may find it at my Regency and Steelhead shops, as well as my shops on the Aethernet...Tissot's paintings appeal to me because of his care in rendering the London society fashions of the time. His favorite muse and model was his love, the beautiful, red-headed divorcee Kathleen Newton, who died from consumption at the age of 27. It touched me that after her death, he put down his brushes and left London...

New "Worker" Pieces: "Peat" and "Invent"
Ladies, if some of you are like me, you can be found building or puttering around in your workshop. What's a lady with familiarity with building tools, metalworking or combustible materials to wear? The Worker "Invent" is for you. Based upon an 1880s female mining outfit, the "Invent" comes with leather-patched pants and an apron for wiping dirt and grease-stained hands on...Due to the popularity of the Worker Grey, I am releasing a dark brown version called "Peat". Look for them in my shops as of tonight!

Feeling a Bit Darkly...
Personally, I love the color black. Of course, wearing black garnered the usual question of "Are you in mourning?" as I was once asked. I can be a bit trigger happy and replied, "Would you like me to be? I can arrange that, you know." I've been seen brooding around Caledon before as befits my being an officer in Dark Victoria and originally started created these black dresses for myself a few months ago because I had a hard time finding ones. "Lola Nuit", made with vintage black velvet, was inspired by a painting of one of my favorite Victorian scandalous women, Lola de Montez...And this one, "Darkness", is for the sultry woman with a dark side and a love of black satin...

Announcing E.Laval AETHER!
Inspired by the workers, inventors, adventurers and common folk with a Steampunk/Victorian flair, I have created the E.Laval Aether line. Rougher fabrics with an everyday sensibility and an uncommon style. In addition to the waistcoat ensembles, which come with two shirt-style options, trousers and a color-changing neck scarf, there is also a selection of soft caps as well. The new line may be found on the Aethernet, Port Babbage and look out for it at Steamworks@Stephenson's Quarters, and Solarya...
